The Divine Empress

The great god Kiyotamaka crossed the world and lay ruin to everything in his wake. As he flew over the Three Lands, a lone girl stood her ground in defiance, and he spared her for her bravery.

Three times he torched the Three Lands, and every time she stood defiantly, each time a little older.

As Kiyotamaka slept atop the Sacred Mountain she climbed the slopes to kill him, waking him with the jabs of a pointed stick.

Intrigued, he listened to her shouts and her anger, and the tale of her people.

Before he went back to sleep he filled her with his divine essence. "When I wake I'll look for you to see what your people have become. You're my divine will. Impress me, or I'll burn it all to ashes."

With that, Kiyotamaka settled into a deep slumber of the ages.
